BEHR-MAHLE

In 1905, 33-year-old inventor Julius Fr. Behr joined Veigel and Zoller, a small workshop in Stuttgart, Germany that produced radiators and tachometers for passenger cars and cake molds for bakeries. Within two years all of its partners left and Julius Behr became the sole owner of the company. Foreseeing the bright future of transport in general and the automobile in particular, Julius Fr. Behr decided to stop producing cake molds and focus on radiator manufacturing. In addition to radiators, in a short time he developing wing systems for aircraft and added coolers for special vehicles to the company's product range in 1917.

When Germany launched World War II in September 1939, the BEHR became an important part of Hitler's war machine. The company supplied coolers for tanks, aircraft and semi-tracked vehicles, and intercoolers and heat exchangers for high-speed launches. 1949 was a new era for BEHR. That year, the company entered a market that perfectly complemented the existing product range. In addition to coolers, he began to produce heaters for motor vehicles.

As his father did in the early days, Manfred Behr recognized the importance of international markets and in 1969 two foreign subsidiaries were established in major markets, one in France and the other in the United States. In 1998, BEHR now became the original supplier of some models of General Motors and BMW. BEHR, which entered under the umbrella of HELLA in 1999, has been under the umbrella of the MAHLE group since 2009.

Mesay Automotive has been authorized agent of BEHR since 2000. BEHR MAHLE, which is used in the assembly of important brands, offers ventilation and engine cooling systems solutions. Both BEHR HELLA and BEHR MAHLE products are available in MESAY stocks.
